Floral Door Lock

Polyester Seatbelt, ABS plastic, Metal Springs, Cotton thread. 

The Floral Door Lock is a portable door lock made from 3D printed shapes and a belt. It is designed to solve the issue of rape and sexual assault in public spaces such as toilets. The door lock can be used to provide an extra security to deter intruders, alert other people, and provide time to escape for the victim. This allows women and children to safely access public toilets and wash areas for personal hygiene. The floral design is targeted at young women due to the feminine appearance. It functions by placing the triangle shape on the outside of the door against the door frame, tightening the flower shape up against the other side of the door, then tightening the round piece against the flower.
