Communication Design Folio
My client is Anita Romano, a rising chef who has been inspired by her nonna’s cooking since she was a young girl. Anita’s parents worked five to seven most days of the week to sustain their family, hence was left in the care of her Nonna Juliana, whom which she learnt how to make a range of pasta recipes and sauces with her favorite being Gnocchi. The first Saturday of every second month, Anita and her Nonna would make tomato sauce in her backyard, with the tomatoes grown in her Nonna’s garden and was always excited yet a bit queasy to see her Nonna step on the tomatoes with her bare feet as they couldn’t afford a mechanical blender. Nonetheless, Anita was most excited to share her and her Nonna’s food with her family at the end of the day and share/enjoy it all together. Asides from being the best cook she had known, it was the memories and the compassionate, loving and giving Nonna she once knew, that she really hopes to never forget. In doing so, Anita wishes to celebrate her Nonna Juliana and her cooking by creating a cookbook and line of branding/packaging for corresponding pasta and sauces in memory of her.
