Brief 

The client

The client, the Fantastic Film Festival Australia (FFFA) is an annual film festival held in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia. The festival is a culmination of “mind-breakers” and “envelope-pushers” that seek to push the boundaries of film. FFFA presents a variety of unique films  from indie animated short films to intense horror films. The festival prides itself on having a large collection of films pulled from a large range of genres, styles and subjects. Like other festivals, FFFA is held at Lido and Ritz Cinemas in Hawthorne and Sydney respectively. Lido is also situated near Swinburne University, a popular uni for film and media studies. Like other festivals, FFFA has a marketing campaign that comprises of a poster found lining streets and bus stops, as well as digital marketing through social media and their website. FFFA is not a massively popular event for film. For the 2021 festival, FFFA wants to have a new marketing line developed, as well as merchandise.  FFFA also seeks to expand to other cinemas in Melbourne and Sydney to broaden the festival within each city.
