Brief
The client
My client is a professional movie director located in LA, who mainly has experience in directing movies around science fiction and horror movies. After years of experience in the field he believes that the time has come to make an adaptation of one of Michael Crichton’s books. My client has always had a passion for the literacy works of Crichton, specifically his novel Prey. My client has written the script for a movie adaptation of Prey. Approved by 20 Century Fox the director started the filming process, which ran for 6 months. The filming is now finished and postproduction works including an official trailer are underway. To accompany the upcoming release of the film in December, my client requires a marketing campaign to advertise the movie and inform the target audience of the release details.
Presentation 1
The client requires me to design a movie poster that reflected the new upcoming movie “Prey” based on the novel by Michael Crichton, which will hit cinemas December 10th. It will feature as a promotional material for the movie to build up hype for the movie.
Presentation 2
The client also requires me to translate the movie poster onto new copies of Michael Crichton’s novel of Prey as another marketing tool to promote the upcoming film. This book will be featured in bookstores, libraries as well as on Amazon and Kindle. The image on the front cover will reflect the strong visual imagery found in the movie poster but in a different way. It is a means of self-promotion through creating products for customers to keep, compare the story to the one in the movie and also appreciate.
