Amalfi Hotel and Visual Identity

Potenza Investimenti is a large investment firm located in Basilicata, Italy. The company purchase and develop real estate across Italy specialising in palatial estates, boutique hotels and resorts since 1965. Following the large spike in tourism around Italy’s Amalfi Coast, the firm have purchased a two-thousand square metre property on the island of Capri. After discussing possible uses for the property, they have decided to design and construct a boutique hotel to showcase the ultimate luxury escape of the Italian Island. It is of the upmost of importance to the client that the hotel incorporates traditional elements of architecture from around the Amalfi coast to help it fit in with its surroundings. However, the project should aim to fuse these elements with modern design thinking to create a piece of architecture that is the jewel in Capri’s crown. To compliment the hotel, the client requires a visual identity to be created for all branding and marketing purposes. The branding of the hotel is immensely important to the company as they plan to launch the hotel with a refined brand identity that compliments the architecture of the building and speaks to the exclusive location.
