Prosthetic Hand and Instructions
The HALO Trust Project is an organisation situated in numerous third-world countries like Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Angola and Laos.
Their current work is surrounding the country of Laos, clearing landmines and disarming unexploded bombs dropped during the Secret War, in order to save lives and prevent any further damage to villages and farmers.
The staff of HALO Trust Project have decided that they would like to design and produce their own prosthetic limb for victims of bomb explosions, including farmers and children. HALO want a prosthetic made specially for bomb victims that is both affordable and durable to levitate finical stress and provide long-term assistance to victims. The desired prosthetic needs to be a prototype of a hand, as it is commonplace that victims lose arms hands and feet, as a result of farmers digging into unexploded bombs in the field and children mistaking the bombs for toys.
Communication Need 1
My client has recognised that the Lao population isn’t as fortunate as developed countries. The client requires a concept for a more affordable alternative to existing prosthetics on the market.
Communication Need 2
The client requires a method to educate the target audience on how to build, wear, use and look after their new limb. As a means of preserving the longevity of the prosthetic and ensure the prosthetic upholds it capability.
